This post is packed with TRON goodies including a music video, headphones, and a hotel room [Update: NSFW Playboy photoshoot]

(1) Medicom Toy is celebrating the collaboration between Tron: Legacy and legendary electric duo Daft Punk by producing the masked musicians in Kubrick and RAH (Real Action Hero) form.  They will release in late December as part of the Series 21 BE@RBRICK assortment ($4.99).  The 400% BE@RBRICK ($199.99) and KUBRICK ($19.99) two-packs will release in mid-January.  The RAH figures are expected to come out in April at $229.99 each.  All the Daft Punk-inspired toys will feature the same outfits and helmets the duo wears in the cameo they make in the film.

Look after the break for so much more Tron content.

(2) The Tron: Legacy soundtrack is out now!  Remember, all 22 tracks are electrified by Daft Punk so there’s absolutely no excuse to skip over it.  You can order a physical copy at Amazon or download it digitally at Amazon or iTunes.  I would opt for the Amazon digital purchase because they’re offering an exclusive bonus track called “Sea of Simulation.”

(3) Check out this brand new music video for the soundtrack’s single “Derezzed.”  That old “Derezzed” video was just an appetizer; this is a full-on double rainbow music video for the track.  It opens at Flynn’s Arcade and we see Daft Punk initiate a two-player Derezzed game session.  This video is definitely an ode to the original Tron movie with its older generation graphics and special effects.  Don’t miss out on the surprise guest who pops up at the conclusion of the battle.

(4) Disney has teamed up with Monster to produce Daft Punk-inspired headphones.  The over-ear headphones take design cues from Monster’s current lineup of Beats by Dre cans; they feature an advanced studio driver design for ultra-precision surround-sound clarity, drivers to deliver deep bass and thunderous low-end effects, noise isolation technology, and dark finishes, neon lighting to capture the cyber aesthetic of the film.  The built-in LED Light Drive System creates animated lighting effects.  The Tron headphones are being marketed for audiophiles and gamers.  For the former customers, Monster is packing in a “special surround-sound mix of the Daft Punk-engineered soundtrack”; gamers will enjoy the removable boom microphone for in-game chat.  The TRON: LEGACY T1 headphones are now available to purchase for $299.95 at Amazon.  They come in white and black variations.  Check ’em out in the gallery below.

(5) This here is the “Legacy of the River”, a Tron-inspired suite imagined UK-based Extreme Design’s Ben Rousseau and Ian Douglas-Jones.  This art suite is located at the Ice Hotel in Sweden, “the original and largest hotel on Earth made entirely from ice and snow.”  That’s what makes this so damn impressive!  You could guess that the designers are “massive Tron fans”, and the inspiration behind the suite is a nightclub featured in the upcoming film.  It took thirteen days in subzero temperature (-22 degrees Celsius to be precise) to complete.  Look in the gallery below to see more images of the icy blue Tron suite.  Click here to watch a time-lapse of the room being constructed.

(6) Located at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London is a giant projection of Tron: Legacy visuals backed by the Daft Punk soundtrack and original sound FX from the film.  London’s QEH and its surrounding areas are experiencing some bitterly cold weather right now, so enjoy this nine minute public display of Tron bliss from the comfort of your cozy room.

(7) Last but certainly not least I’d like to share with you a fantastic user-generated Tron trailer and the methods by which you can alter said trailer in real-time. Graphic designer Franz Enzenhofer created a modern day trailer for the original 1982 Tron, and you can watch it in the video embedded above.  But he decided to take things one step further by giving everyone the ability to manipulate a number of the trailer’s video effects in real time.  The power of technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, Canvas, and CSS allow for the magic to happen.  If you click over to Franz’s site, you can play around with effects (black-and-white, outline, color (RGB), invert (RGB), matrix, old) rotate, scale, and skew the trailer all while the video is playing without hiccup.  Well go on, have at it!

Bonus! Make sure you head over to the official Tron YouTube channel where you’ll find many behind-the-scenes featurettes.  Tron: Legacy hits theatres in 1 WEEK on December 17.

Update: Playboy has decided to take on Tron, too.  The Tron-infused spread features models Irina Voronina and Sasckya Porto covered in body paint and nothing else.  Lightcycles and discs included!  Watch the video, browse the gallery, and head over to Playboy to see more pictures from the photoshoot.  It’s implied, but I’ll say it anyway: the video and photos are NSFW.

Update 2: Independent filmmaker Kyle Roberts skillfully put together this Tron inspired light painting stop motion short.  Roberts shot over 800 images on a kitchen floor and the project took about 22 hours to complete.

[Thanks, Kyle]

Update 3: Tron goes 8-bit.  Even “Derezzed” undergoes the retro treatment.
