Kanye West called upon producer Symbolyc One (aka S1) to produce the beat behind the second half of Watch The Throne track “Murder To Excellence.” (‘Murder’ was produced by Swizz Beatz.) S1 had previously worked with ‘Ye on the masterful single “Power” off My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and most recently he co-produced Beyonce’s hit “Best Thing I Never Had.” S1 traveled to London and Australia with Kanye and Throne collaborator Jay-Z, and it was Done Under where the “dirty” beat for “Excellence” was conceived.
