‘Skins lose, man loses bet, rednecks destory his TV with guns

So the story goes…a man lost a bet to his friends that the Redskins would be the Saints.  The Saints ended up beating the ‘Skins 33-30 in OT.  Because the man lost the bet, his redneck friends gathered arms and shot his big screen TV to smithereens.  Some of them even rammed into the broken shards of glass to prove their manhood.  Oh..there’s only one way to react to all this: WHO DAT!

FIFA World Cup matches to be broadcast in 3D (read: not in America)

FIFA has teamed up with Sony to broadcast 25 matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa in high-definition in-your-face 3D.

FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke: “This propels the football fan into a whole new viewing dimension and marks the dawning of a new era in the broadcasting of sport.  We are proud that the FIFA World Cup can serve as a platform for advancing technology and the viewing experience, and are truly fortunate to have Sony as a partner in this endeavour.”

The 25 games will be broadcast live in the following cities around the world: London, Berlin, Mexico City, Paris, Rio De Janeiro, Rome, and Sydney.  I mean, who watches soccer in the US anyways, am I right?

Watch #15 in red: Aggressive, competitive soccer player or demon-child?

It’s BYU vs. New Mexico in the MWC Tournament.  Watch as New Mexico’s Elizabeth Lambert takes her competitive rage out on her oppenent’s team members.  There’s kicking, shoving, punching, and even some hair-pulling.

And all Lambert got was a yellow card when she was asking for a red one.  She has been suspended from play indefinitely, even after she verbalized an apology for her insane actions.  Oh, and her team ended up losing and falling out of the tournament despite her best efforts.

Hamish and Andy present “Ghosting in America”

Australia’s Hamish and Andy are taking America by storm with their new sport called “Ghosing.”  Ghosting, or “personal space invading,” is a sport that I can definitely see catching on here in the States.  And if it doesn’t, we will always have Hamish and Andy’s adventures to watch on YouTube.  If you found their latest gig on The Jay Leno Show laugh-out-loud funny like I did, be sure to check out their site where there’s plenty more to see.
