Lamborghini concept car has me drooling at the mouth

Lamborghini Ankonian concept.  Designed by Slavche Tanevski.

The mid-engined supercar has a narrow and rather complex-looking body, with a garnishing of GT proportions. Thin OLEDs embedded between the surfaces function as headlights, and while all those lines may look weird, the Ankonian supposedly makes the best use of it all. The concept was named after a bull type famous for black hair, and since the designer had some help from professional designers at Lamborghini and Audi, the finished model has impressive looks.

Sure, it looks like a futuristic Bat-mobile, but come on!  Personally, I am a big fan of the Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo plus the Audi R8.  From the looks of these images this concept car takes the best of these supercars and manages to create beautifully designed and shaped super-super vehicle of my dreams.  Though it will likely never see the light of day as a real car, one can sit and stare at all its glory, can’t he?

Concept: The Rolltop, a laptop-to-go

The Rolltop, by Orkin Design, is purely a concept, an idea, a figment of imagination for now.  The Rolltop features a 13-inch flexible OLED and multitouch display that can be fully ‘rolled out’ to transform into a larger 17-inch screen.  It includes a detatchable stand that stores the device’s stylus, has a USB port, and functions as a power adapter.  Although the Rolltop represents the future of the future of what laptop computing might be like, it sure is nice to at least witness such a cool gadget in an animated video (see above).

Zune HD unveiled and hands-on

ZuneHD

Microsoft’s Zune HD has finally been officially unveiled this week.  Packed with a beautiful OLED touchscreen, a smooth accelerometer, and shiny new UI, this new version of the Zune looks like it may creep closer in design, feel, and sales to its highly successful competition, the iPod.   No other information, such as price, has been disclosed.  Check out Engadget’s hands-on pictures and Gizmodo’s video hands-on.  For the first time, Microsoft has me excited about its Zune hardware.  With rumors of possible Xbox 360 integration, the Zune HD may just make its big break in the MP3-player market when it launches this fall.
