Jimmy Fallon’s latest parody takes on Netflix Original Series House of Cards. Though it falls short when stacked against previous parodies (see: Game of Desks, Joking Bad, and Lost parody Late), Jimmy does a fine impersonation of Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood and the two parts are sprinkled with funny nods to the show for fans to enjoy. Music video round-up: Bob Dylan & Pharrell Williams create fun, interactive clips; Kanye West gets parodied [Update: Eminem is a “Rap God”]
Forty-eight years after Bob Dylan released his 1965 hit “Like A Rolling Stone” the track gets its very own music video and a uniquely impressive one at that. Israeli director Vania Heymann partnered with interactive videomaker Interlude to imagine a music video experience that allows the viewer to flip through TV channel stations and inside each one TV personalities are lip-syncing Dylan’s song. There are 16 stations to flip through using your arrow key or mouse press; from Pawn Stars to The Price is Right to Marc Maron’s podcast, Dylan permeates through them all without missing a beat. ‘Breaking Bad’ complete series comes in a barrel on November 26 (Alternate ending video inside!)
On Tuesday, November 26 the complete box set of Breaking Bad releases on Blu-ray and DVD. Except it doesn’t come in a box but inside a collectible replica money barrel! In addition to all five seasons of the hit AMC drama, the set is packed with over 55 hours of bonus material including a two-hour documentary that chronicles the filming of the final eight episodes and, yes, an alternate ending.
Said ending has already leaked onto the Internet and you can watch it now after the break. However, don’t freak out just yet; the inspired bit is just that–it’s a parody that involves Bryan Cranston waking up next to his Malcolm in the Middle wife played by Jane Kaczmarek having experienced a nightmare that pretty much sums up the bulk of Bad. Cranston steps into Hal’s shoes and Kaczmarek doesn’t miss a beat as his former TV wife Lois. Leading up to the series finale many Breaking Bad fans imagined Vince Gilligan’s show to be a prequel to Malcolm whereby Walter White gets put into witness protection and lands on his feet in that sitcom’s household; or it was all a dream, Newhart style. Though that never came to fruition, this fun and quite funny “alternate ending” should do just the trick for fans with such wild imaginations.
The Breaking Bad barrel, which also includes a 16 page booklet with a letter from Vince Gilligan, a commemorative challenge coin designed by Gilligan, and a Los Pollos Hermanos apron, is up for preorder today at Amazon for $201.29. Jimmy Fallon is Falsenberg in ‘Breaking Bad’ parody “Joking Bad”
Jimmy Fallon and the team at Late Night are back again with yet another highly entertaining digital short parodying a popular TV series. This time J.F. takes on the popular AMC series-coming-to-an-end Breaking Bad. Fallon is Walter White, naturally, and announcer Steve Higgins is his PIC Jesse Pinkman. Instead of dealing meth they’re giving away good jokes, hence the title “Joking Bad.” It’s certainly not the best BB parody I’ve seen but it’s worth a watch since it’s packed with great nods to the show that fans will surely gobble up as fast as Tuco Salamanca can snort Blue Sky off a sharp knife. A slew of super special guests participated in this and I won’t comment on them so as not to ruin the surprise. Bitch.

Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Ed Helms & Will Forte ARE Mumford & Sons in the band’s “Hopeless Wanderer” music video
If you aren’t laughing out loud with happy tears streaming down your face by the end of this video then something is clearly wrong with you. English folk rock band Mumford & Sons have enlisted funnymen Jason Sudeikis (SNL), Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Ed Helms (The Office), and Will Forte (SNL) to play far-out versions of the four bandmates in this twisted, self-deprecating parody. The music video for “Hopeless Wanderer,” a track off M&S’ album Babel, gets sillier and sillier as it goes on and by the end you want to watch it all over again. From the unsuspecting start to the full on make-out sesh between Sudeikis and Forte, this is one unforgettable clip that proves Mumford can take a hit, laugh at themselves, and enjoy the ride.
‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ parodies ‘Game of Thrones’
Jimmy Fallon and his talented team at Late Night have a new digital series parodying HBO’s popular fantasy series Game of Thrones aptly titled Game of Desks. Fallon pulls double duty portraying skewed versions of Ned Stark and Daenerys Targaryen here, as does announcer Higgins who plays a convincing Lord Varys and Khal Drogo. From the impressive opening animation to the elaborate set pieces and wardrobe, Game of Desks makes an entertaining Thrones parody that every fan of the show will enjoy watching. Funny or Die poised to release ‘iSteve’, their own Steve Jobs biopic starring Justin Long
Following in the footsteps of Joshua Michael Stern (Jobs) and Aaron Sorkin (Steve Jobs), viral video maker Funny or Die is poised to release a bio-pic based on the life of the Apple founder. iSteve stars Justin Long as Steve Jobs, an appropriate choice since the Dodgeball actor played the Mac in those Mac/PC commercials way back when. James Urbaniak as Bill Gates, Michaela Watkins as Melinda Gates, and Lost‘s Jorge Garcia as Steve Wozniak round out the cast.
Unlike the majority of FoD videos, iSteve will play out as if it were a theatrical movie; it’s 81 page script was written in three days and taped in five. The “film’s” writer and director Ryan Perez spoke with The New York Times about the project. “In true Internet fashion, it’s not based on very thorough research — essentially a cursory look at the Steve Jobs Wikipedia page. It’s very silly. But it looks at his whole life.” He added, “We might not be the best, but we will be the first.” Stern’s Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival but its nationwide release has been delayed; Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic doesn’t have a release date yet but is expected to come out sometime in 2013.

‘SNL’ parodies ‘Homeland’ with over-exaggeration and spot-on impersonation
It was only a matter of time before Saturday Night Live produced a sketch parodying the uber-popular Showtime series Homeland. Anne Hathaway proved that she’s got what it takes to over-exaggerate Claire Danes’ “crazy” Carrie Matheson, Bill Hader can add yet another spot-on impersonation to his list with his subtle portrayal of Mandy Patinkin’s Saul Berenson, and Taran Killam has the look and just the right sized mouth to pull off a believable Nicholas Brody; Kenan served as David Estes and Nasim popped in at the end for a brief but effective poke at Brody’s annoying daughter Dana. From the re-creation of the opening credits sequence to Carrie’s obsession with corkboards and her quivering chin, SNL did a stand-up job parodying the show that’s on everyone’s DVRs. Though they had the opportunity to do so much more with it (where was Saul’s ruler and peanut butter…anyone?), it’s an instant classic in my book.
Going viral: ‘Breaking Bad’ musical parody featuring Walt & company channeling their inner Taylor Swift

The Internet has produced one of the most ridiculous videos I have ever seen. I’m sharing it with you, though, because it is just the right amount of entertaining for long-time followers of the critically acclaimed AMC drama Breaking Bad. YouTube channel Teddie Films has concocted a viral hit with “We Are Never Ever Gonna Cook Together,” a mashup of Breaking Bad and Taylor Swift’s new breakup single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” The clip does a good job of musically summing up the tension between Walt and Jesse that occurs in season five, and it really scores with the absurd imitations of characters like DEA agent Hank Schrader, Walt Jr., and there’s even a guy in a chicken suit representing fast food chain Los Pollos Hermanos. What takes away from this almost-solid parody are giant inconsistencies like Jesse being Asian and Skylar’s portrayer wearing an obvious wig. Things like these add to the farcical nature of the video, but I feel that it really would have exploded with fans if they were more detail-oriented. Nitpicking aside, you should definitely have a watch if you like the show. Fair warning: Swift’s song is catchy to begin with; mashed with Breaking Bad don’t surprised if you catch yourself singing “Oooo ohhh Heisenberg” throughout the day.

Jamie, Adam, Tory, Kari, and Grant are wonderfully parodied in this CollegeHumor sketch that aims to question to existence of God. I mean, this is all pretty spot-on, so if you watch the Discovery show you’ll likely keel over in laughter. Enjoy!
