Music video round-up: Bob Dylan & Pharrell Williams create fun, interactive clips; Kanye West gets parodied [Update: Eminem is a “Rap God”]

Forty-eight years after Bob Dylan released his 1965 hit “Like A Rolling Stone” the track gets its very own music video and a uniquely impressive one at that. Israeli director Vania Heymann partnered with interactive videomaker Interlude to imagine a music video experience that allows the viewer to flip through TV channel stations and inside each one TV personalities are lip-syncing Dylan’s song. There are 16 stations to flip through using your arrow key or mouse press; from Pawn Stars to The Price is Right to Marc Maron’s podcast, Dylan permeates through them all without missing a beat. Sound bites: Daft Punk premieres new hit single “Get Lucky”, Frank Ocean & Anna Kendrick debut music videos, The Lonely Island announces new album

Remember that oh-so-awesome snippet from Daft Punk’s upcoming new record Random Access Memories. Since then, the good have been delivered: the first single from the French duo’s followup album to 2005’s Human After All is titled “Get Lucky” and it features the classic electronic sound fused with lyrics from Pharrell Williams and wicked guitar plucks provided by Nile Rodgers. It’s predictably catchy and will have you foaming at the mouth for more where this came from. Download the single today at iTunes, and prepare to upgrade your RAM May 17.

A G.O.O.D. Friday song without Kanye West on the track?  Not so fast, pard’ner.  Child Rebel Soldier, a rap group formed in 2007, consists of Pharrell Williams (of N.E.R.D.), Lupe Fiasco, and Mr. West.  Up to this point CRS has collaborated on two other songs: “Us Placers” (off the Can’t Tell Me Nothing mixtape) and “Everybody Nose (Remix)” (off N.E.R.D.’s album Seeing Sounds).  And now you know.  Preview and download the latest CRS cut below.

Single: Diggy – “Oh Yeah!” (Featuring Lupe Fiasco & Pharrell)

One mixtape (The First Flight, 2009), two freestyles (“Made You Look“, “Over“), and a prelude music video later, Diggy Simmons is readying his next mixtape Airborne by dropping the first track off it.  It’s called “Oh Yeah!” and features verses from Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams.  I’ve said it from the start–this kid is bringing a fresh sound to the rap community and his style of rap at such a young age (he’s only 15) is really impressive.  Enjoy this track as we anticipate the sequel to his first mixtape due out sometime this year.

Music video: Shakira “does it again;” Kid Cudi to be featured

“Did It Again” is the next single off Shakira’s forthcoming album.  If you enjoyed Shakira’s routine in “She Wolf” wait until you see how she moves in bed.  The album She Wolf releases November 27.

In much related news, newly-famed rapper Kid Cudi will be featured on the remix to “Did It Again.”  Go ahead and look forward to that.  Also, keep in mind that this track plus five others are produced by Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes.  Another track is produced by Wyclef Jean.
