(1) Medicom Toy is celebrating the collaboration between Tron: Legacy and legendary electric duo Daft Punk by producing the masked musicians in Kubrick and RAH (Real Action Hero) form.  They will release in late December as part of the Series 21 BE@RBRICK assortment ($4.99).  The 400% BE@RBRICK ($199.99) and KUBRICK ($19.99) two-packs will release in mid-January.  The RAH figures are expected to come out in April at $229.99 each.  All the Daft Punk-inspired toys will feature the same outfits and helmets the duo wears in the cameo they make in the film.

Discover new music: kent – “Töntarna”

kent hails from the great land of Sweden.  There they are a very popular alternative rock group.  They’ve actually been around since the 90’s, but with their latest turn to indie electro-pop things are starting to heat up again for this eclectic group.  EW compares them to the “likes of MGMT, Friendly Fires, Phoenix” with an electro-pop flair, and I couldn’t agree more.  “Töntarna” is the first single off their forthcoming album tited Röd.  It’s available for preorder at Amazon.  Check ’em out!

Clock displays your energy usage; may promote it

The Energy Aware Clock shows you the time (obviously) and your energy use by way of cool visualziations on its front display.  This concept device somehow wireless connects to your power meter and shows in real-time your energy consumption fluxuate with blue spikes.  Although the idea itself is interesting and could work, I feel it may cause more energy consumption, at least initially, because who won’t want to show off the awesome blue visualizations, right?

The clock is created by Swedish designers Loove Broms, Karin Ehrnberger, and Sara Llstedt Hjelm and will be shown off at Design September Brussels 2009.
