Waterpebble helps you conserve water by encouraging shorter showers

The “Waterpebble” is an innovative device that keeps an eye on water consumed when you take shower in the bathroom. Designed to be fully recyclable, the smart device monitors water going down the plughole, after each shower, to compare it with earlier showers, so you could manage or reduce your shower time and thus water consumption. Featuring an automatic mechanism, the Waterpebble takes your first shower as a benchmark and gently flashes “from green through to red” to stop the shower.

Priestman says that he “wanted to design something that takes the hard work out of going green and that helps people change their behavior so that eventually they are doing it automatically.” Something like this might just work. A rather strange video demonstrating how it works is after the break.

NASA finds wa-wa on our lunar sphere

Project Scientist Anthony Colaprete on the matter: “I’m here today to tell you that indeed, yes, we found water. And we didn’t find just a little bit; we found a significant amount.”

NASA shares: “If the water that was formed or deposited is billions of years old, these polar cold traps could hold a key to the history and evolution of the solar system, much as an ice core sample taken on Earth reveals ancient data.”

And my personal favorite: “In addition, water and other compounds represent potential resources that could sustain future lunar exploration.”

Future exploration means potential living spaces outside our own planet. Just the idea of expanding Earth’s population onto other planets (or moons) provokes massive amounts of excitement. To infinity and beyond!

World’s fastest amphibious vehicle

The WaterCar Python goes from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds on land andin water. It is built on a Dodge Ram base and it has a custom fiberglass body. On land it uses an aluminium Corvette LS engine and in water it’s powered by a Dominator jet. The Python is on sale now and is available to the general public for $200,000. HP laptop does liquid

The HP ProBook and 6545b (15.6-inch) and 6445b (14-inch) have specially-designed keyboards that allow water (or a similar liquid) to drain through them and out the bottom of the laptop. Watch the magic in the video above.
