As seen on MTV2/Sucker Free’s “Wild Tour Story” Segment, even when you touring with Kanye things don’t always go according to plan.

Well, that didn’t last long. According to a LiveNation press release, Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s much-hyped Fame Kills Tour has officially been cancelled. Although no comments have come from the West and Gaga camps, people have been speculating that the cancellation may stem from West’s negative publicity (re: his latest stint at the MTV Video Music Awards), poor early ticket sales, and “creative differences” between the two headlining artists. A Lady Gaga choreographer LaurieAnn Gibson Twittered that the cancellation was due to such “creative differences.” Also, Kanye had mentioned on The Jay Leno show that he wanted to take a much needed break from the tours and the albums; maybe this is his way of actually proving his point.
Refunds are available at the point of purchase, and if you purchased tickets online or on the telephone they will be refunded automatically. Also, according to the tour website, the Club membership fee will be refunded, too. Details on this will be made available “shortly.”
Update: Lady Gaga has commented on the cancellation today, though she did not go into much detail. “Well, actually, it was a mutual decision to cancel the tour. But I’m not taking any time off, so I’ll be leaving just a week later than I was supposed to on my own solo tour. It will be the same places. So I will see you guys there. I’m putting out my re-release as well — The Fame Monster on November 24. In respects to the creative work that [Kanye and I] did together, I won’t be doing any of the things that we designed for the tour. It will be entirely new, and it will be just as amazing and memorable and epic.”

There’s a reason this song made its way to the number one spot on the iTunes chart and still resides in the top ten. It’s good. I will point out, though, that some of the featured artists do bring it down some. Yeezy and Weezy’s verses are weak in comparison to Eminem’s crazy good verse that follows. It’s worth the listen for the catchy chorus, and even more so for Em’s ingenious rhyme-fest at the end. Download “Forever” on iTunes here.

“Birds on the Wires” by Jarbas Agnelli.
Agnelli: “Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn’t the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating.”
Mr. Agnelli, this is quite an original idea, and I am very impressed by your observation and musical ability. To see the birds in such a fascinating pattern like that of musical notes, transform their locations into a melody, and share it with the world is a very cool achievement, to say the least. Readers, enjoy the creativity and splendor that is in the video above.

The Sony Ericsson MH907 earbuds rightly claim to be the first “motion activiated” headphones that feature SE’s “SensMe Control.” What does it do? When you place the earbuds into your ears, your music starts playing, no button mashing required. If you take a bud out of one ear, the music pauses, either to answer a call or to carry on conversation with a nearby pal. How does this work? The bud “requires [a] conductive surface to activate the controls.” Basically, when the buds touch the surface of your ear they know to start playing the tunes. When they are taken out from your ear they “sense” the removal and pause the music. So you won’t have any problems shoving the ‘phones in your pocket; they won’t turn on becuase they are not hitting a conductive surface.
Engadget has received this claficiation from SE: “SE has further clarified that the technology is capacitive in nature. In other words, removing an ear bud isn’t breaking the flow of current between buds (and across your noodle) — it’s destroying the dynamic capacitor formed by the touch of human skin.” Although this tech is not going to change things “forever” (as Sony Ericsson put it before the today’s unveil) it should make some impact in the market. Let’s wait and see if competitors try to up the ante.
The MH907 is available this week for “most Sony Ericsson phones with a fast port connector” for 39 euros, or roughly 60 US dollars.
