Now that he’s no longer the Governator in real life, Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to become Stan Lee-backed superhero The Governator in an upcoming animated TV series. Apparently Ah-nuld is prepared to bring this character to which he lends his voice not only to television but also to comic books and and film (and in 3D, mind you). Figure out whether or not you’ll be following Schwarzenegger’s career post-Terminator/political figure.

Extended trailer: ‘The Green Lantern’
This weekend at Wondercon Warner Bros. unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming DC Comics flick The Green Lantern. At just over four minutes in length, the extended trailer gives us a grander glimpse into the Green Lantern Corps. home world of Oa. We witness the giant monster Parallax mortally wound Abin Sur (Temuera Morrison), which leads to Sur’s quick escape to the closest inhabitable planet that is Earth where he crosses paths with Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds). Jordan is given the ring and he recites the oath:
In brightest day,
In blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight,
Let those who worship evil’s might,
Beware my power … Green Lantern’s light!
Mark Strong’s Sinestro and Peter Sarsgaard’s villainous Hector Hammond get some screen time here, though human co-star Blake Lively unfortunately does not. And the rest, as they say, lives on in the trailer above. Want to get your full screen HD 1080p action on? Head over to Apple trailers for your fix.
The Green Lantern opens June 17 in 3D.
‘Parks and Rec’ gag reel is f–kin’ hilarious!
Oh, what more can be said about the Pawnee gang? The all-star cast that makes up NBC’s Parks and Recreation is delightfully genuine and wickedly hilarious. If you don’t watch the show this 15-minute blooper reel should still leave you in stitches. But if you do watch it the reel will shine a new light on these characters for you (literally tons of profanity are contained within) and at the same time remind you why you fell in love with them in the first place. Also, April (Aubrey Plaza) smiles! Now that’s a first. The Parks and Rec season 2 gag reel rests above.
New episodes return April 14 at 9:30PM on NBC.
Update: Looks like NBC took it off YouTube. Found another copy at Perez!
The Lonely Island reveals new album title, cover & release date, premieres “We’re Back!” music video
I’ve got big news for all you Lonely Island fans out there. The Dudes (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone) opened up about their followup album to 2009’s Grammy-nominated smash hit Incredibad last night during their guest stint on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The record’s called Turtleneck & Chain and it drops May 10 on Universal Republic Records. The album cover features the Dudes, well, acting all cool in turtlenecks and chains (see it after the break). When asked why they chose this particular image for the new album Jorma admitted that “when we met each other in eighth grade that was pretty much the look that we all had.” In addition to spilling all this info, the Dudes used LNWJF as a platform to premiere the the first track off the album; it’s called “We’re Back!” and its embedded above waiting for you to hit play. You probably don’t have to be warned, but be mindful of the insane amount of profanity used in the video. The black-and-white vid is all about dicks. So, yeah. Jorma is the major player here, but Akiva and Andy spit nasty rhymes too. Jorma ends the song with this: “We started this fake rap sh–, the world needs us!” He’s right, we do.
So kick back and watch “We’re Back,” and while you’re in a Lonely Island mood rewatch “I Just Had Sex” and “The Creep” (two other confirmed tracks on the record) and start counting down the days til Turtleneck & Chain’s May 10 release.
Stephen Colbert sings “Friday” with The Roots
I know, this is starting to become Rebecca Black overload. But this here video must be shared amongst Internet dwellers. Last night Stephen Colbert made a special appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to sing the world’s most hated song ever, “Friday.” But why, you ask? Recently Colbert auctioned off a painting of himself for $26,000 to benefit DonorsChoose.org, then last week he said that Jimmy would match the donation. Thing is is that Jimmy had no idea about Colbert’s announcement until earlier this week. Instead of brushing aside the false fact, Jimmy asked his friends, family, and fans to help raise enough money to match Colbert’s donation. And guess what–we beat it by $46. In total, Colbert, Jimmy, and NBC Universal (which doubled Fallon’s number) raised $86,000. Woo! And because Jimmy was able to raise the money, Colbert agreed to come on the show and celebrate by singing “Friday.” Double woo! (That would be a woo woo!) Watch Colbert’s rendition of the track you love to hate; The Roots back him up, Black Thought does some rapping, and Jimmy joins in, as does a couple of surprise guests!

Trailer: The Hangover Part II
One teaser trailer and movie poster later, Warner Bros. has finally let loose the full theatrical trailer for Todd Phillips’ The Hangover Part II. And now we know what to expect, plot-wise. Though he didn’t appear in the teaser or poster, Justin Bartha is back as Doug but this time he doesn’t go missing. The movie begins with the Wolfpack and their family and friends celebrating Stu’s (Ed Helms) impending marriage to an Asian woman (Jamie Chung). After conversing over a pre-wedding brunch in Thighland, the guys (Helms, Bradly Cooper, Zach Galifianakis) decide to celebrate the occasion with drinks. Stu’s finance encourages him to show her little brother Teddy a good time. During the night of insanity that will likely not be revealed a la the original Hangover, the boys will lose Teddy and the film revolves around finding him (not Doug) before the wedding takes place. Watch the funny unfold in the trailer embedded above. Spoiler alert–Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong) is back!
The Hangover Part II opens May 26.
Music video: Katy Perry – E.T. (Featuring Kanye West)
Aliens! Floating in space! It’s got to be the premiere of Katy Perry’s music video for the insanely catchy tune “E.T.” The video is brimmed with sci-fi aesthetics. The video opens with freaky looking alien hovering in zero-gravity space; soon enough it transforms into the pop star. Kanye West pops up throughout the episode, also floating around in a bottomless pit of darkness; his lower row of sparkly teeth light up the scene. Bits and pieces of the song are mixed differently you’ll notice. Perry also throws in a new verse for good measure. Overall the video is just OK since the story it tells is lacking in depth (but listen to the lyrics, was to be expected?); however, Perry put much effort into costume design and makeup and these aspects of the vid were certainly made for impressive eye candy. And now to get this song out of my head…
‘How To Make It In America’ begins season 2 production

Right on schedule HBO has begun production on the second season of How To Make It In America, the dramedy that follows 20-somethings (Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk) who are trying to make it big in the fashion industry in New York City. Pictured above is Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi) and Greenberg. Cudder posted it on his new Tumblr site, and he promises fans that Domingo Brown will have more of a presence in the upcoming season. And this is already being proven–check out the gallery below to sneak a peek of Cudi and female lead Lake Bell walking the streets of NYC (specifically East 12th Street) filming a scene. HTMIIA season two is set to premiere this summer.

Single: Death Cab for Cutie – “You Are a Tourist”

The wait for Death Cab for Cutie’s first album in three years is almost over. Codes and Keys, their seventh studio album to date if you’re counting, will feature 11 new tracks from the indie-pop/alt-rock band and it releases May 31. Frontman and lead vocalist Ben Gibbard told Stereogum that “this a much less guitar-centric album than we’ve ever made before.” The band recently outed the lead single off the album and it’s called “You Are a Tourist.” Listen to it below and quickly you’ll notice the changes they’ve made. This still very much sounds like a DCFC track (Gibbard’s voice echos along with the upbeat tune), and at the same time its message is uplifting, too. Bassist Nick Harmer admits that “the emotional spectrum feels much wider this time…. I think there is a lot more light in this record.” Bet you’re really looking forward to contrasting Codes and Keys with their 2008 melancholic smash Narrow Stairs. For now, hear the single and anticipate the end-of-May release.
