From the talented videographer who brought us to Skywalker Ranch and to a cold winter’s night in Prague comes his latest time-lapsing sensation. Using a Canon 7D, two Canon 5D MkIIs, and one Panasonic GF1, Philip Bloom captures Dubai like you’ve never seen it before.

Interactive OLEDs engage you in lights
“You Fade To Light,” designed by rAndom International, uses Lumiblade OLEDs and custom software to enable you to interact with a large panel of lights with physical motions such as hand gestures and full body movement. I can totally see something like this being used in a music video. Who’s going to make it happen first?

Expandable chair made entirely of recycled paper and wood

The FlexibleLove chair, designed by Chishen Chiu, combines an “accordion-like, honeycomb structure” and recycled paper and wood waste to form an expandable chair than can stretch and fold to make various seating arragements. The company calls it “ecological, adaptable, practical” and I couldn’t agree more. I want one! Look after the break for a video of it in action.

A breakthrough in prosthetics..or something else?
UK-based BeBionic has gone ahead and created “the next generation of fully articulated myo-electric hands.”
Bebionic hands feature naturally compliant grip patterns combining innovative technology with life-like appearance. Functions of the hand such as speed, grip force and grip patterns may be custom programmed to suit individual user requirements through smart software and wireless technology. Halo: Reach behind-the-scene documentary
Take a peek into the reconstructed Halo Universe. Halo production leaders discuss how Halo: Reach ties back to our very first glipse of the vast world Bungie created in Halo: Combat Evolved (“that sense of wonder and exploration”) and why they decided to rebuild it all from the ground up. “This is the definitive Halo made by the people who created Halo.” Aaaand I’m pumped. Check out a handful of new screenshots and artwork below.

Music video: Black Eyed Peas – “Imma Be Rocking That Body”
Aw yeah. This is exactly what I’m talking about. The Black Eyed Peas have created their most epic music video yet with this mega-mashup of “Imma Be” and “Rocking That Body.” The latter song has yet to shine as a stand-alone single on the charts, but after this video makes its way around, radio stations will surely start picking up requests. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the future; it’s a ten minute long ride.
Posted after the break is the message from will.i.am straight from Dipdive, the Black Eyed Peas’ online video service. He says, “Get prepared for the beginning, that’s all I’m saying.” You know what the means…after The E.N.D. comes The B.E.G.I.N.N.I.N.G!

If the future of video gaming is augmented reality, count me in!
Imagine a future where video games transition from the TV and PC to your physical surrounds via a virtual reality headset with goggles. Pretty wild. (And FYI–this is not a concept video for true implementation; it’s actually from a fictional Israeli TV show. Nonetheless, who knows what the future holds.)

The Cubestormer can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under 12 seconds
Made entirely of Lego Mindstorm kits, The Cubestormer is a robot that can solve a random Rubik’s Cube in under 12 seconds. Under 12 seconds, people! Just watching it work makes me that much more worried for Judgement Day.

Noteput music table teaches you with tangible notes
Created by Jürgen Graef & Jonas Heuer.
“Noteput” is an interactive music table with tangible notes, that combines all three senses of hearing, sight and touch to make learning the classical notation of music for children and pupils more easy and interesting.
Note that the Notput is not touch-sensitive; it does not feature multitouch interaction. It uses a built-in camera system to pick up unique markers that are stamped on the large musical notes. The camera system recognizes each note and its specific location on the staff.
