Trailer round-up: ‘Brave’, ‘American Reunion’, ‘Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope’

Check out this brand spankin’ new “trailer” for Pixar’s latest Brave. I put trailer in quotations because this really isn’t a trailer even though it has that label stuck on it; it’s really a two-and-a-half minute scene from the animated flick, and it’s quite good. Brave hits theatres June 22.

Jump after the break to watch the second trailer for American Reunion and one for Morgan Spurlock’s Comic Con documentary.

The American Pie gang returns to the big screen one more time on April 6.

In 2010 filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) announced that he was making a feature-length documentary following a group of devoted nerds at Comic Con. Flash forward two years later and the movie–also produced by Joss Whedon (Buffy)–is complete. Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope follows “a collector, a nerd, a designer” and other participants at the 2010 Comic Con in San Diego and how their passion for all things nerdy is in fact a collective experience shared by a huge portion of the general population. The docu releases April 6. The trailer is above and a synopsis lies below.

Have you ever imagined a place where Vulcans and vampires get along? Where wizards and wookies can be themselves? Welcome to Comic-Con San Diego. What started as a fringe comic book convention for 500 fans has grown into the pop culture event of the year that influences every form of entertainment, now attended by over 140,000 strong. COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN’S HOPE– a film by Morgan Spurlock explores this amazing cultural phenomenon by following the lives of five attendees as they descend upon the ultimate geek mecca at San Diego Comic-Con 2010.
