Rihanna’s next album titled Rated R is gaining tons of buzz as its release is soon upon us. Rihanna plans on making a big comeback after her public battle with former boyfriend Chris Brown (who is also releasing a new album soon). Yesterday the full track list was unveiled. Featured artists include Young Jeezy, Slash (!), and will.i.am. Look after the break for the full track listing. If you preorder the album on iTunes you will instantly receive a free download of her first single “Russian Roulette,” a song written by fellow R&B artist Ne-Yo. Today Rihanna is giving her fans a taste of what’s to come with the new music video for “Wait Your Turn.” The album drops November 23.

Late last night Sony officially announced the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 smartphone. It is SE’s first Android device. Some specs include a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4-inch capacitive touch display (480 x 854 pixels), an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack, a micro USB connector, and it comes with an 8 GB microSD card. The most exciting news involves the personalized user interface. Android 1.6 will be running underneath SE’s elegant UI called Rachael. We have seen Rachael before but never in such an official and polished manner. SE was keen to mention that the XPERIA X10 is the flagship device in a line of Android-powered phones; glad to know there is more where this comes from. I’m looking forward to seeing how the XPERIA X10 device performs when it releases Q1 2010.
For now, be sure to check out the gallery below for some official press shots and peek after the break to see the phone (and the stunning Rachael) in action.

Now this is what the original trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar should have been. Sure, I understand that the original trailer was a teaser trailer; but with so much hype for this shot-in-3D film I feel that this trailer does the hype some justice and shares with the viewer a glipse into what the movie is actually about. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. Avatar hits theatres December 18.

Features Eminem & Jay-Z. DJ Hero is available now.
We’ve already seen a video of the purported Sony Ericsson “Rachael” user interface at work. A new video has been released this week and it reveals the media playback capabilities. Watch out Apple; SE’s concept (hopefully -turned real) Android user interface looks very, very good.

Ericsson’s “spider computer concept” is a product the company believes may very well be the form factor our computers will come in by the year 2020. The spider features a pico-projected screen and laser-projected keyboard that sit upon a spider-influenced tripod of sorts. Interesting, to say the least.

Pavegen Systems at interbuild exhibition. Flexible paving slabs that generte energy from people’s footsteps to power street lighting, wayfinding solutions, and other low energy applications.
Basically, these “paving slabs” can generate “as much as 2.1 watts of electricity per hour” simply by having people walk on them. This kind of tech is very impressive and surely stands out in the “be green” world we live in today. Pavegen Systems is currently testing it out in East London and they plan to have them installed more widely sometime in 2010.
