And the word of the year is… “UNFRIEND”

“unfriend” – verb – “To remove someone as a ‘friend’ on a social networking site such as Facebook.”

That’s right, folks.  The word “unfriend” is the word of the year, according to the Oxford American Dictionary.  And get this–it beat out the words netbook, hashtag, and sexting, among others.

This is just silly, ain’t it?
